It’s a conscious psychology to these Freudian slips [of the tongue and sh|t].
So what better way than to do (or say) something insulting (or hurtful), than to add to it: more of the same.
We just reported that two of the four women that were held captive by Ariel Castro for over ten years (and found last May), were shocked to hear that Rivers referred to the living space she was sharing with her daughter Melissa on their reality show was such that (quote) “Those women in the basement in Cleveland had more space” (unquote).
Well and APB was put out on Joan Rivers for an apology and yep…she replied (quote): “They got to live rent-free for more than a decade. One of them has a book deal. Neither are in a psych ward. They’re OK. I bet you within three years, one of them will be on Dancing With the Stars” (unquote)
Now I thought I was bad (myself) when, the thought came to mind that during the time they were held captive, social sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and such weren’t around and has plagued society since [their] last having been seen. And in my mind (and to a friend) I did say: “Oh lord Jesus be a light. ‘Cause in due time they’re gonna be on Twitter wreaking havoc unheard of by the time the media wolves and this New World Way gets to them-mark my word.”
Joan Rivers got me beat.
In another statement she gave to Ohio newspaper: The Plain Dealer, she added: “I’m a comedian. I know what those girls went through. It was a little stupid joke. This is nothing to apologize for. I made a joke-that’s what I do. They’re free, so let’s move on.”
“Let’s move on?” Yeah…she got me beat.
(And no, that’s not egg on her face in my photo header for this blog entry. That’s just Joan Rivers being …well…”Joan Rivers.” Deal with it already).
