The reclusive Around the World in a Day songwriter/musician/singer also bounced a ball on the court…on a team….in his hey-day back in his native Minneapolis, Minnesota at Bryant Junior High School.
Libor Jany of the Minneapolis Star Tribune (who, himself-bares a striking resemblance to rocker Lenny Kravitz), shared a team newspaper photo of 
Prince along with a vintage article to prove it!
