As rumors would have it, Roc Nation’s once revered pyramid is slowly beginning to resemble the Sphinx Pyramid as, the perils and pitfalls surrounding Jay Z at this present moment in time are definitely taking chips off Roc’s once well-respected block.
Business or Benedict Arnold, call it what you may.
But either way, Kanye West (is rumored) to be leaving Roc Nation astray.
Rumors have been swirling all week that (in addition to Kanye leaving Roc Nation Management) West has been prepping to hang a left over [to one of] Tidal’s rivals: Apple (and then managing himself).
Despite earlier claims disputing all this, Hits Daily Double report (and insists):
Kanye West is making changes, distancing himself from Tidal, firing Roc Nation and managing himself, with an unofficial assist from the Jenner–Kardashian clan. As for Kanye’s long-delayed album, there’s some chatter that the release will be connected to Apple Music’s launch.
As you may well know, West’s anticipated album has been on pause pending a title given and taketh away by Yeezus himself.
Word in the streets and industry has been that the release will be launched in connection with Apple’s music launch underway [we hear is launching around next month or so].
Although Kanye hasn’t confirmed or denied the news, this departure could very well shake up more than just his relationship with Tidal/Jay Z/Roc, but too, he was penciled in as executive producer for Rihanna’s greatly anticipated CD.
