#SayHerName No. Really: Say Her Name – Why I’m Writing A #TheSandraBlandLaw© Be Passed & Why It’s Very Necessary + ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW NOW & LATER ABOUT HOW NOT TO BE REMOVED FROM POINT A (Pullover) TO POINT B (Beat and/or Booked)

about!!!! Know this-please.

A cop pulling up on you is not a game of matching wits with you so stop trying-please!!!

“Knowing your ‘rights’ ” are null and void once you reply and the confrontation begins.

A cops ‘rights’ trump yours.

  • He’s out there testing your level of respect (to him as a “God” of sorts)
  • To give you that ticket (as, making money is big business and they do have a quota to fill)
  • Upon your surrender or apology, give you a warning let you off if he’s feeling good for the day and you were respectful enough—he knows that for every one “sweetie” he let go, there are 20 other insubordinates of disorderly conduct who resisted arrest he will be pulling up on (without this SandraBlandLaw© on the books, like Sandra Bland, that next person he pulls up on could your mom, dad, cousin, uncle, husband or loved one)..

That conversation point (as we have seen) is usually the ‘trap’ on all levels, whether:

  • The cop rightfully arrests you for warrants or being wanted and you have been found/pulled up on
  • Tickets you for moving violation (and lets you drive off)
  • Tickets you for “disorderly conduct” or “resisting arrest” (which obviously comes after some physical contact of some sort and definitely lands you in the back seat and off to be booked at his station)

At point of contact with an officer “rights” really don’t start until the “right to remain silent and anything you do or say can and will be held against you in the court of law.” Unfortunately, those ‘rights’ are yours and never read to you until after the arrest (or beating) and you are on your way to being booked.

So nowwwww do you see the loophole and why this SandraBlandLaw© is necessary at the point of contact the very moment that cop walks up on you?

Now…don’t you see how bare and vulnerable citizens are and have been at this moment of interaction with cops?

Keep reading, I got yous…

This SandraBlandLaw© will serve and protect citizens from all that’s gone on and will force cops to channel what, if any personal, racial, social issues and prejudices they have elsewhere.

This SandraBlandLaw© is protection against excessive authority (like all I just explained), because as I just explained in this section-you have ZERO ‘rights’ in this point of contact window.

Hold your horses.

I have to explain all this stuff because you NEED to know it before you can use this oh-so-necessary SandraBlandLaw© that until it is implemented, is still information I am giving you that will help you with your next cop encounter + keep you at:

POINT A- at the stop and enable you to go home to your family in one piece

rather than:

POINT B-beaten (possibly) and booked and off to his station

HOW TO MAKE SENSE OF POINT A TO POINT B:

There was an old Oprah Show segment where a victim expert explained that in kidnappings, murders, abductions and other crimes, the chances or survival for the victim (once they allow themselves to be removed from point A to point B) is 50% to 0.

That’s a good analogy for my reasoning about being a “bottom line-first” kinda girl (as mentioned in the 12th line of this blog). I use that analogy in my head in conversations with people, in situations, and in life-period. Always be careful where you allow yourself to be taken after point A. Most of the time it is up to you to have had your time wasted or your life taken.

Apply this train of thinking when a cop approaches you, especially. Point A is your only safe zone. Try to remain there!

But thanks to this SandraBlandLaw© I’m writing up, it will do all the talking for you (at Point A) because your real “rights” (to remain silent) unfortunately, are only useful at Point B and by that time…it’s too late-you’re already arrested and your show goes on from there.

COPS’ “
US” vs “THEM” MENTALITY & WHY

When a cop approaches you, the thinking is that of a (“God”) walking up on you (as per your respect and submission expectation). When you become confrontational to (even at his initiating confrontation or at his condescending questions), it is a sign that you are most probably are wanted, or in trouble of some kind somewhere else, and/or are a menace to society or some social deviant. At that point, his goal is to get you in that back seat, booked and your fingerprints run to see if that is so.

Corrections law and law enforcement law of criminal justice feels that your dealings with a cop (with a gun in his hand and can shoot you and get away with it off merely saying he thought you were reaching for yours) tells a lot about your dealings in a world of people who cannot arrest you, and take your freedom from you.

Think about that…

MIRANDA RIGHTS (“right to remain silent”) vs. SANDRABLANDRIGHTS©

(how you got/get caught up–and will continue to until this law is on the books)

The only “right” you have when a cop approaches you is the right to not consent to a search of your vehicle—only valid if that cop has NO reason to believe he has to (which, again further shows how their ‘right’ will always trump your little rights).

Your ‘right’ to not consent to a search of your property, is only valid if you say it (and it’s been said before the search began). If you didn’t know you had that ‘right’ (to not consent to a search) obviously you’re not going to say it. But do know that once he puts that knee in your car and you haven’t acted on your right to prohibit his search, he doesn’t have to stop mid-search and typically won’t either. Picture a cop saying mid-search adhering to your [too late now] request to permit a search, and (him/her) saying: “Ok sir, or ma’am I’ll stop searching now.”

Aint gonna happen.

Although searches do happen (sometimes) and all ends well (the person goes home after the cop being ducked off into your car)-it’s very rare though, because if he feels the need to have you step out for him to search-he’s already in confrontation mode and decided already that something’s wrong, looking for something wrong (or will make something go wrong)–all to which HE WILL WIN favor, not YOU!

This is precisely why there needs to be a law on the books before our “right to remain silent” (Miranda Rights Law), because that Miranda Rights law is only applicable at time of being cuffed, arrested and booked. We are getting screwed over by
