Beyonce and Jay Z (and Alicia Keys) were seen on the scene visiting the family of Freddie Gray-the Baltimore man killed by the hands of, and while being detained by Baltimore police officers on April 12 (last month).

Although your royal highness typically fancies purple, in spirit of Freddie Gray, the call to wear the color gray was an order.

The typically reclusive star played to the crowd-a song he wrote (titled “Baltimore”) after the mayhem in the city following Gray’s funeral.

“The system is broken. It’s up to you young folks to fix it,” he yelled out to the crowd at Royal Farms Arena.

As well, Prince invited the family members of Michael Brown and Eric Garner to the concert (as shown in this backstage photo with Alicia Keys, Beyonce, and Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles-Lawson.

Tickets cost between $22.00 and $497.00 before fees.

Reportedly, at one point avid Prince fan (slash) Baltimore’s State Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby was invited onstage.

According to sources, she scored tickets as a Mother’s Day gift from her husband (councilman) Nick Mosby.

A portion of the ticket sales with go to various Baltimore youth-based charities.
