Nicki Minaj was double-tapped to headline this year’s X Games in Austin.
The X Games is a yearly ESPN-backed extreme sports event-extreme sports like (skateboard/BMX/Moto X/Rally off-road truck).
Kanye West was invited to headline last year.
“Having Nicki Minaj headline one of the nights of X Games Austin is going to be really fun. We still have other headliners to announce in the upcoming months, but the mix of Nicki Minaj with world class athletes will make for a must attend event in Austin,” said X Games’ vice president Tim Reed.
Nicki expressed: “I look forward to channeling the energy and spirit from the X Games into a performance Austin will not forget.”
For the Sound Factory Stage, Talib Kweli, Deltron 3030 and Pennywise will be the first performers, thus far.
Tickets go on sale this Friday.
