…I’m just sayin.’
As yous may well know, or read our story yesterday-Madonna is going through a terrible domestic battle with her ex husband-film maker Guy Ritchie in a fight for custody for her 15 year-old son Rocco, who (for now) insists on hanging out his dad in London [as opposed to what media reports are claiming as having come from Rocco-his]: “controlling mom” (Madonna).
As if what’s she’s going through (and feeling) isn’t enough, even since yesterday when we reported the unfortunate story; our friends at New York’s Page Six posted pics of the handsome young teen out bike riding, dressed alike and spending some dad and lad time citing:
Madonna will be burnin’ up when she sees these pictures of doting dad Guy Ritchie and 15-year-old son Rocco.
The “boys” wore matching white tracksuit bottoms and black jackets as they returned home from a cycle ride in London.
The 57-year-old Material Girl is in the middle of a very public custody battle with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie over the teen. Sources say Rocco complains that Madonna is too controlling, and that he prefers living in London with his more low-key, chocolate-giving dad.
Ouch.
(While we don’t condone texting and riding), it’s always nice to see young boys bonding with their willing fathers.
Considering Madonna’s post a few hours ago…

…she clearly feels unsupported that ‘society doesn’t encourage strong, independent, working moms.’ Although that is as debatable as it is relative, one can’t argue that male bonding between that 13-21 years of age is crucial (too). And if desired by the dad, should (too) be supported.
As a “single, working mom” (with a life not nearly as luxe as Madonna’s) obviously I encourage strong, independent, working moms. But too, I encourage strong bonds between boys and their dads just as much-especially during that crucial bracket of time in a young man’s life.
Either way, Madonna’s fans chimed in on her post and this sentiment (less the strike through) shared pretty much sums what OSF, too, has to say to mum:
