That’s right.

The rap rhinoceros took a moment to segue the announcement and feat by quoting philosophy stating something even I feel and know to be true:

“Nothing real can be threatened, nothing unreal exists.”

In addition, Jay Z announced that Tidal is platinum in numbers-having reached the $1m dollar mark and counting. To celebrate, from the looks of things, something’s going down in the 40/40 Club business owner’s hometown of Brooklyn on 10/20………..

Despite my personal thoughts about Tidal’s less than humble beginning, let’s keep it real though.

Although $1 million may not live up to the hype of “Jay Z” the artist and his numbers as an artist (combined and multiplied with his celebrity interest and hype), when you break it down to brass taxes of things, what’s real has to be reckoned with (whether we want to or not).Jay Z close

Considering Tidal’s competitors (Apple and Spotify), since its June launch, with Apple having $10 million paid subscribers [and although Spotify has $75 million subscribers] only $20 million are paid subscribers] although havi
ng $1 million subscribers is so not “Jay Z-ish” it’s still decent and can only go up from here.

You know, we’re all quick to jump at front numbers as if that really is the end-all and often times, it’s not: Most front numbers are “fronting” numbers to attract (because most people WON’T take the time to investigate or see what’s really real versus unreal and actually NOT happening).
