In the bigger picture (excluding their age gap and the fact that a 19 year-old would pretty much have nothing imaginably sensible, fathomable and substantial in common with a 57 year old man), and although disgusting because of; the bigger picture of the matter (if you sit and think about it) is this fact that shant be ignored: Most men no matter their age (especially men in power and/or with money/who can afford it), select women for their purpose (or pleasure) before considering the substantive, infinite and eternal-especially as they get older.
But when looking at this big picture like such:
…Obviously if you know the history of America, that picture is quite alarming and speaks a thousand words.
Notably, any aging white man dressed as [what looks to be] a plantation slave master-placing his hand on the shoulder of and standing above a sitting young, African American woman dressed in her 18th century Sunday best while cuffing [what was referred to then as] her “sucka” raises brown brows and questions than any answer could suffice.
Well that man in the picture is 57 year-old Joe Morrissey-a current candidate of the Virginia state Senate who (before the scandal could plague his run or possible win) put his controversial relationship with 19-year old Myrna Pride (with whom he fathered a child) right out there on the table.
The back story on their relationship is that Pride was Morrissey’s secretary intern when she was 17 years-old. That professional relationship turned personal…and sexual which, as a result, won Morrissey a six month sentence [turned 3 months] at the ‘graybar hotel’ for contributing to the delinquency of a minor but eventually placed on a 90-day work release [despite the fact that both admit to not having been intimate until she turned 18].
Fast forward.
Myrna Pride is now 19 years-old and the couple have a two month old boy: Chase.
At this present moment in time, Morrissey is now running for state senator.
All this, in conjunction with that photo itself (considering the fact that given his age) he has an even better understanding of the message such a portrait is emitting from behind the pixels that tell the thousand words: [That a] 57 year old man merely ejected a 17 year-old employee into 18 year-old “adulthood” and into his Thomas Jefferson – Sally Hemings fantasy and impregnated her. Adding impact of oddity-the fact that Morrissey himself, sent the photo to reporters.

Indeed and hands down, he will have the most controversial, most talked about political campaign ever run. He’s making sure of that, obviously.
Morrissey-a father of four (two of the four are adults by four different women) held a press conference where Myrna asserted the two did not become intimate until she was 18—57 year-old Morrissey expressed he was going to (eventually) marry Myrna: the (now) 19 year and mother of his two-month old son:
“I love Myrna. She’s smart. She’s intelligent. She makes me laugh. I think she makes me a better person. We’ve got a great life.”
Well “making him laugh” is not going over well for Pride’s family who, after the press conference told reporters and finds it anything but funny:
“It’s disgusting that these two continue to lie and defame our family. The plea agreement clearly states that he had a sexual relationship with Myrna prior to her turning 18. He continues to deny, disrespect and make a mockery out of the justice system, our family, and our little sister-all the while our mother is currently facing jail time (for defending his behavior) yet, he has not been held accountable for his actions, and at this point, we will be suing Joseph Dee Morrissey for the turmoil he has created for our family.”
Let’s not belabor the fact that if the average man aged 18-80 would have slept with a 17 year-old girl; that is considered statutory rape and he would be prosecuted on such grounds.
