Sunday night’s VMAs!
“Holding her own” (as well) came in the form of her having to hold having to face being called out by rapper Nicki Minaj who (in all her multi-personalities) offered words for the ladies and hustlers of the world, thanked her fans, pastor, friends, and saved the best for last-her new foe: Miley-who was caught off guard at the live, verbal confrontation:
You see what had happened was, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift were at odds regarding Nicki’s tweeting about being upset and VMA nods and the skinny white girl effect possibly being the reason for the nominees and placement of the nod list. Without rehashing the entire situation (that we already wrote up for yous) Taylor-who responded to Nicki’s tweet duked it out on social media but quickly squashed their beef (and performed as chums on the show).
Although Nicki and Swift’s wrangle was silenced by BFF love (eventually music) along came siren Cyrus who, about that week later, we forced to face Nicki live on stage (last night).

Nicki’s statement (regarding her upset at the VMA nods):
