EMPIRE Soars Then Slips And 50 Cent Quips: ‘It’s Those Gay Plots’

empire FoxFrom the looks of things, Empire is going to have itself one a hell of an unpredictable season. Considering the ratings of the season premier having originally reported [that] 16 million viewers tuned in (and just like the year of the hanging chad election where recounts were demanded), Empire’s total recall refused to be left hanging with digits left out there in the balance. When the final Nielsen was tallied, the popular hit show ranked in an additional 4 million viewers-totaling a whopping 20 million during its season 2 premier.

What a difference a week makes however as, the second show of the season took a humbling nose dive-and for the very first time ever in the history of the show (not including DVR rankings as yet), the ratings slipped to a $13.7 million viewership [which is] a-19% drop from season 2’s season premier numbers.

As you may well know from following us, Starz’s Power actor and co-creator 50 Cent considers the Fox Television hit show a rival of sorts so 50 has his eye on Empire ‘s “Cookie” to crumble.

…Although once clicking into the link, 50’s Instagram post has since been deleted, [the tweeps that caught it] have it that he attributed the ratings drop to the “gay plots” being woven into
the show.
Obviously with a statement like that, as much as 50 likes boxing and battling, his arms are much too short to box with the long arm of the LGBT community and he certainly doesn’t want that piece of work voguing and windmilling his way.

Taraji Terrence Hustle and Flow kissRumors also have it that the Hustle and Flow couple who ironically have gone on to star as former love interests in Empire, are hustling to flow once the camera’s are off.

Reportedly, the two are however, in the ebb and flow that neither likes one another anymore (for reasons unknown/unreported), but its being reported that things are pretty tense of the set. Their sources report:

“Things are really tense on set. Terrence is jealous that Taraji is getting so much airtime and will barely speak to her if the cameras aren’t rolling.”

“Taraji knows about Terrence’s violent history and doesn’t want to push the wrong buttons. She doesn’t really want anything to do with him.”
