DAVID LETTERMAN Says Goodbye To The Late Show After 33 Years

The Ed Sullivan Theatre was the scene of a finale of monumental proportions.
“Whooooooooooa Nelly.”

David Letterman is leaving “The Late Show” –after 33 whole years!

…and this is his final entrance:

The popular, private, natural funny man certainly went out with a “hang” and lots of funny memories:

The taping of the last show aired last night with countless celebrity guests hanging around the Ed Sullivan Theatre who too, are very much apart of the memories left behind on the stage and couches of the show that, as well, Letterman will surely take with him.

The Foo Fighters, sand Dave’s fave:

Stephen Colbert (who will cop a squad in the chair going forward), wished him well:

Celebs around and about, dwell:

David gave his final “Thank You” and “Goodnight.”

So what might his plans be (going forward)?
“By God, I hope to become the new face of Scientology,” he said.

And with his presidential salutes from the officials:

…it’s official…he’s off…the air.

And will be missed.

Oddity:

David Letterman has been in the entertainment business for over 33 years-came in with a clean slate and left out with one: No scandals and other circustry and shenanigans that often times is very much apart of being in “entertainment” yet, somehow he managed to be successful and keep his private life private. That (in addition to a successful 33 years in the the business) is a feat.

Good luck to him.

There’s no one like him.
