Long running, sensational singing Vegas showgirl songbird Celine Dion is in countless fan’s thoughts and prayers as she mourns the death of René Angélil after losing his courageous fight with throat cancer.
René was Dion’s husband and father of her three boys who, as well successfully managed the Canadian born singer’s career through to her way to world superstardom.
As per her website, the 73 year-old passed away at their Henderson, Las Vegas home yesterday morning.
According to the Clark County coroner’s office, Angélil died of natural causes associated with throat cancer while under the care of a physician-adding 
that the technical name for René’s cause of death was “squamous carcinoma of the floor of the mouth.”
He is survived by his sons with the Because You Loved Me singer: 14 year-old René Jr. and 5 year-old twins Nelson and Eddy along with three other adult children (from a previous relationship): Anne-Marie, Patrick, and Jean-Pierre.
“The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details will be provided at a later time” was the noted.
After a long hiatus and taking time off from her residency in Las Vegas (to care for her husband) Dion had just returned to the stage early last year.
