BILL COSBYs 78th Birthday Today Is Probably Most Happiest Because Wife Camille Still Standing By Him: Says She Knew Of His “Philandering” & Sex Was Consensual, Not Rape – Let’s Talk About Why She May Feel This Way

Today is Bill Cosby’s 78th birthday and unfortunately, at time like now (where he’s old and grey and walking around with oxygen); we should be bombarding his Twitter account with annoying little birthday wishes and at whim and daily-sending him our favorite Cosby Show clips and other Fat Albert, Little Bill and other clips of any and all wonderful pop culture media baring his name that was faves of ours or our parents.

That said, it’s a very sad thing that at a time in his life where ingratiating ourselves to him for giving us all good times in our Cosby Show-kid lives and such, we can’t even thank him like we should-given his scandals having being brought to light (some of which had occurred even before he was “Dr. Huxtable”)…that’s a tough pill to swallow.

BILL COSBY

Hurting to know-especially when you reminisce on the great dad “Dr. Huxtable” was-he was America’s dad, too.

It’s understandable that many of us can be in denial that it would be possible that “Dr. Huxtable” was capable of drugging women and raping them against their knowledge and consent, so it’s no wonder his own [real-life wife], 71 year-old Camille Cosby would be in denial, too.

Reports are surfacing that the attractive, white-haired caramel-complexion woman [we never heard much from but always seen by his side during all the years of Bill Cosby’s popularity] is speaking up now—in regard to the accusations her husband is being bombarded being faced with.

According to sources, Camille Cosby is stating she doesn’t believe her husband took advantage of these women and that this was all consensual.

Although she acknowledges she has always been aware of the Cos’ “philandering” with women, she intently believes all the women consented to sex-despite mounting reports claiming they did not consent.

Let’s talk about a few reasons why (understandably) she may think that.

Let me press pause on your current faculties and get in your head and mind for a second:

For starters OSF readers, we have to remember something: A lot of these things Bill Cosby is being accused of doing faced with happened when Bill Cosby was young and good looking (not to mention: rich). As well, these women (all of them-every single one of them) were gorgeous. I’ve covered this story extensively-and every pictured of these women from then (despite how attractive they may be now-2015), obviously, they were younger-and obviously much cuter-then (than they are now in 2015).

So when you have this rich, influential, powerful, good looking older man (to these women-then) but a younger Bill Cosby (then), it seems as consensually “befitting” that these (aspiring models, actresses, singers etc.) that were all in the company of Bill Cosby, where there knowing that consensual sex was a apart of the plan for the night (especially considering the “cozy” circumstances in each occurrence).

You have to remember: None of these incidents took place at open locations or even some high rise offices building where a disinterested third party was there on behalf of these [women who were aspiring actresses, models, singers] overseeing any promises Bill Cosby either made to them, or hoped this rich, powerful, influential man was going to do for them.

So when you consider a cozy conditions and places they were at with Bill Cosby + the circumstance (that I just explained in the previous paragraph), considering the fact that [many of these women] were drinking wine; it would seem as though it was just a regular night where both parties (knew?) sex was a part of the plan.

But this is the part where Bill Cosby crossed the line (as I explained how perhaps Whoopi Goldberg derived at her conclusion in support of the Cos):

As Whoopi said on the video tape (in that link above) Quaaludes was a drug of choice norm. She said that as if to say it was nothing for back in that era/day and time, to take a Quaalude during intimate moments (no different than people today pop the drug “Ecstacy”].

Therein lies the problem:88359155-bill-cosby-and-his-wife-camille-cosby-speak-onstage-at.jpg.CROP.rtstory-large

Even if every single one of these women consented to sex (while sober) and knew that sex was supposed to go down by the end of the night, despite any wine they consumed, the point at WHICH Bill Cosby slipped the Quaalude into drinks is the very moment he raped the women of their option to change their minds about having what, if any “consensual” sex with him (as discussed or no).

My thinking is (like what I gathered from Whoopi Goldberg’s statement): Camille Cosby is processing this whole thing as “consensual” but not taking into consideration that a Quaalude is more powerful than a glass of wine.

Whereas (as well) a person can get tipsy enough to impair their judgment, a Quaalude ensures judgment will indeed be impaired.

And that is the part I do not think Whoopi Goldberg or Camille Cosby are considering. So in turn, (considering “cozy conditions” they were under while with Bill Cosby), Camille Cosby is just chopping this all up into a group of women who aspired to be actresses, singers, models etc., and knew Bill Cosby could help them, all were there to consensually follow protocol of “making it” in Hollywood: Sleep with a powerful person who could open doors for you.CJuDH4CUMAAbUWv

But again, be that as it may (or may not have been the case), to have slipped Quaaludes into their drink, Bill Cosby raped them of their right to be coherent enough to “say no to (his) drugs” and he raped them: a second time (literally) as they were passed out.

That may be what Camille Cosby is failing to consider (or acknowledge).
