Hosted by Regina King and Tracee L. Ross, last night BET held its annual Black Girls Rock ceremony and ode to women of color.
The show selects some of music’s own black girls who rock to serenade other women of color who’ve influenced and made an impact either personally or professionally in their respective communities.
Among the honored last night was singer Erykah Badu where singers like Jill Scott, Fantasia, Faith Evans and Ciara performed and singer-percussionist Shiela E. lit the stage.
