While Floyd Mayweather is preparing for his September 13 fight with Maidana, his former pal sent out a couple jabs at him in spirit of the #ALSIceBucketChallenge spiraling around the Internet.
In case you may not know, Floyd Mayweather and rapper 50 Cent’s bromance dehydrated over a year now and at any moment in time, either of the two can be seen across the Internet throwing quips and blows at one another-especially 50.
It was just last month that rapper Nelly was rumored to have been dating Floyd’s ex: Shantel Jackson (the one that Mayweather put on blast all across the Internet a few months ago, if you remember us blogging about it).
Well, Mayweather’s tears and ink have dried, but the Hot in Here rapper found his way to his ex girl’s heart (perhaps).
The two inked a deal for an upcoming reality showing centering around Nelly career as a hip-hop artist, life as a father, work as the co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, and his dating life with Shantel which, according to her-is at the “beginning stages” and “not full-blown relationship.”
Along with BET, although Nelly hasn’t given the “realationship” his green light as yet, that doesn’t put the red light on 50 Cent-from going on with his show: Taking every moment he can to throw blows at the champion fighter + tease him about having lost Shantel [to Nelly].
Recently, Nelly and rapper T.I (whose wife Tiny was rumored to have had some personal dealings with Mayweather) have been in the news regarding the Ferguson/Mike Brown situation and obviously, word got out that Mayweather had some unkind words to say (which included some jabs at 50, so the connoisseur of Wanksterness responded):
“I woke up, I looked at the computer and the computer say, Floyd say ‘f(ck T.I., f(ck Nelly, f(k 50.’ What’d he say f(k me for? Nelly f(cked your first baby mama Melissa then took your f(kin fiancée. Say f(k that n|gga,”
Via his social media account, when he posted what he had to say-he captioned it:
“I just woke up, Floyd you know better. Don’t get me started you paid a private investigator to find miss J. You love her man and Nelly took her. Lmao the n|gga swoop down like a bird outta the sky. He too tall champ you can’t you win. Lol.”
To add insult to injury, 50 took a jab at Mayweather’s intelligence (or lackthereof) and rather than nominating Floyd for the #ALSIceBucketChallenge, he opted to dump this chilly statement at Mayweather:
“Floyd, will you except my ALS/ESL CHALLENGE: I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice if you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping or fucking up. lmao.”
Mayweather has had ongoing wrangles with a few rappers and has gone of record for stating the most the issue is that most rappers want to boost their public appeal. Floyd explained in MLive: “I don’t really focus on nothing like that. I’m relevant. My life is the (expletive). I’m something to talk about. A lot of times, you see a lot of these rap artists, they rap about certain things, but I really live it.”
Mayweather goes on to say “every home that I have is paid for, every car that I have is paid for, and I am a hundred-million-dollar man. I mean, this is the truth, it’s not a lie.”
Whether or not Mayweather accepts 50’s challenge remains to be read.

Although Mayweather took a moment to take a jab at Nelly, T.I, and 50, he is in full-concentration and training mode-gearing up for his September 13 fight with Maidana with:

…and jogging + words of enlightenment and wisdom for us all: “Yes, I will take the charge! I am still driven and always have been ambitious and will continue to be generous. Why? True happiness begins within. Instead of focusing on others, work harder to achieve what you wish for.”
