The 64,000 question and popular culture curiosity has already been solved—the question in inquiring minds as to whether or not the eldest of the Brady bunch (boys) has ever hooked up with Marcia or anyone on the show, or no.
Barry Williams, who played “Greg Brady” is on record for letting the cat out the bag that he indeed hooked up with….the mom: “Carol Brady” (played by Florence Henderson) and as well she, herself, is on record for confirming it. Ha!
Well, if you ever wondered about any hanky-panky going down after “cut!” was yelled and if anyone in the cast of the Cosby Show morphed from the Huxtables to being huggable with one another, I’ve got your answer [about what, if any hooking up off-screen took place between the cast of the popular 1984-1992 NBC hit series upper middle-class family]: Dr. Huxtable (Bill Cosby), Attorney Clair Huxtable (Phylicia Rashad), second eldest sister-Denise Huxtable (Lisa Bonet) third eldest sister-Vanessa (Tempest Bledsoe), baby sister-Rudy (Keisha-Knight Pulliam), and eldest sister-Sondra (Sabrina LeBeauf).
Last week, the bass playing, Major Crimes actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner (who played “Theo”) did an interview with Access Hollywood and confessed having a crush on his on-screen co-star [slash] sister:
“Denise Huxtable,” played by Lisa Bonet who’s currently married to Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa, and is the ex-wife of rocker Lenny Kravitz (with whom she shares a daughter-Zoe Kravitz).
Warner explains: “Early on, it was Lisa, just because we were so close in age, but, you know, I never had a shot. You just know…at 13, 14…you know when you have a shot or not, even at that age.”
He continued: “She’s cool. Lisa and I, we’ve always been very cool, but I’m cool with everyone on the show, because we all, you know, bonded over such a unique experience that that bond, no matter how much time goes by that we don’t speak, that bond is still there, very strong.”
He added, “I think [that bond is] one of the reasons the show worked so well, and one of the reasons the Huxtables as a family just gelled. We all really had a genuine, mutual respect and appreciation for each other, to the point that people would come on the set and talk about how rare our vibe was on the show. There was just no drama.”
“Everybody really was there about the work. We all had a good time, but we also knew when to be serious, as well,” Malcolm explained.
Although having been in serious relationships himself (with actress Regina King, Malina White, and the late Michelle Thomas, who played “Theo”’s girlfriend “Justine” on the show; the actor and Miles Long jazz musician stated he’s still fond of Lisa Bonet…………
in a platonic way, of course.
